Support
Need help with your progress journal? We’re here to help.
Contact us
Email us if you have a question, found a problem, or need help with a subscription, reminder, photo import, or backup.
To help us respond quickly, include your device model, iOS or Android version, app version, storefront (App Store or Google Play), and a short description of the issue. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, or progress photos and measurements unless they are necessary to explain the problem.
Common issues
Camera access is unavailable
- On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, choose Privacy & Security, then Camera, and allow ProgressLens.
- On Android, open Settings, choose Apps, then ProgressLens and Permissions, and allow Camera.
- Return to ProgressLens and reopen the Camera tab.
- If camera access is restricted by Screen Time, parental controls, or another device policy, the device owner may need to change that restriction.
Photo import is not working
- When prompted, allow ProgressLens to access the photo you want to import.
- On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, choose Privacy & Security, then Photos, and update ProgressLens' access if needed.
- On Android, use the system photo picker to select the image. If the picker is unavailable, check ProgressLens under Settings > Apps > ProgressLens > Permissions.
- Make sure the selected file is a readable image and that your device has enough free storage.
Reminders are not arriving
- In ProgressLens, open Settings, choose Reminders, and confirm reminders are enabled with the intended frequency, days, and time.
- On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > Notifications > ProgressLens, and allow notifications.
- On Android, open Settings > Apps > ProgressLens > Notifications, and allow notifications. If available, allow the app to run reminders without battery restrictions.
- Check whether Focus, Scheduled Summary, Do Not Disturb, Battery Saver, or another device setting is delaying or suppressing the alert.
- ProgressLens reminders are local notifications. Delivery can be affected by operating-system settings and device conditions.
Comparisons or charts have no data
- Comparisons require two photos with the same photo label.
- Charts require saved measurements. Add a measurement greater than zero and check that the selected date is correct.
- Make sure you are viewing the intended photo label or timeline filter.
Subscriptions and purchases
ProgressLens Pro access is missing
Open ProgressLens Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account or Google Account that made the purchase. Apple purchases generally restore only on Apple devices, and Google Play purchases generally restore only on Android devices. If access is still missing, email support with the purchase date, storefront, and plan shown in your purchase history. Do not send your account password or full payment details.
Cancel or manage a subscription
Subscriptions are managed by the store where you purchased them. Apple subscribers can use Apple Account subscription settings. Google Play subscribers can use Google Play subscription settings. Deleting ProgressLens does not cancel an active subscription.
Refund request
Apple or Google Play handles store billing and most refund requests. Use the purchase support tools for the store where you paid to request a refund. We can help identify the ProgressLens plan, but we cannot override Apple's or Google Play's billing or refund decision.
Backups and restore
- ProgressLens backups are created only when you choose to export them and are shared or saved through the Apple share sheet or Android Sharesheet.
- Backups are plaintext ZIP archives, not encrypted containers. Save them only to a destination you trust.
- If backup creation is unavailable, make sure the journal contains at least one progress photo. The current backup flow requires a progress photo.
- To restore, select a valid ProgressLens backup from Files or the Android file picker, review the restore summary, and confirm the restore. Existing entries are not deleted by the restore flow.
- If a backup was saved in iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Files, email, or another service, that service controls the saved copy. Check its own storage and sharing settings.
Privacy requests
ProgressLens stores your journal locally on your device by default. For questions about data, deletion requests, or privacy matters, contact support@progresslens.app.
