75 Hard progress pictures: doing the daily photo right

By David Pintarič, maker of ProgressLens · Updated October 29, 2026

One of the 75 Hard tasks is a progress picture every day. Here’s how to make 75 of them actually comparable.

Short answer

75 Hard asks you to take a progress picture every day. Take it at the same time and place, ideally each morning, with the camera on a stand and a ghost overlay of yesterday’s photo. Compare day 1 with days 25, 50 and 75, not day to day.

The rule

The daily progress picture is one of the core 75 Hard tasks, alongside two workouts, a diet, water and reading. Missing it means starting again on day 1, so make it effortless: same spot, same time, phone already in position.

Tips for 75 consistent photos

Day 1 vs day 75

Make a four-photo collage (day 1, 25, 50, 75) with the free collage maker, or a video of all 75 with the timelapse maker. Daily photos with a ghost overlay make a smooth timelapse.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I take 75 Hard photos at night?

Yes, as long as it’s the same time every day. Morning is more consistent.
